We drilled three new wells in 2023!
After the break in drilling activities caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Saint Bruno Foundation restarted its work in establishing groundwater wells in remote villages of southern Uganda. Two representatives (Witold Frączek, Benjamin Mukasa) of the Foundation from California traveled to Uganda in June 2023. Initially, they encountered an unexpected problem with receiving a bank transfer of funds from California to Kampala, which resulted in a delay in starting the project.
After receiving the first part of the funds, Witold and Benjamin signed a contract on behalf of the Foundation with the president of Living Water Technologies Limited, Florence Baseka. As a result of the agreement and further cooperation, three new groundwater wells were drilled and made operational. Each well unit (borehole) was accompanied by an electric water pump, a set of secured solar panels, a 10 cubic meter water tank elevated to the top of a specially constructed tower (to provide pressure), and the final outlet with 2-4 faucets. Those three new wells are all located in the Kyotera-Masaka area, specifically in the villages of Bikira, Lubanda, and Kasambya.
